MEALS ON WHEELS

Squamish Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals and a friendly visit to those who cannot always prepare meals for themselves.

Clients who benefit from Meals on Wheels include those who:

  • have limited mobility or difficulty managing meal preparation
  • have a disability or are experiencing an illness or injury
  • have been discharged from the hospital or prescribed a therapeutic diet
  • cannot afford or access other food options

How It Works

Twice each week, our friendly volunteers pick up meals from Under One Roof, pack them into insulated bags and deliver them meals to clients in their homes, taking the time to chat with them and assess their wellbeing. Any concerns are reported back to the Program Coordinator who follows up with family or other service providers in the community. Used trays and bowls are picked up and returned to Under One Roof to be washed and reused.
