Health and Wellbeing

We break down barriers and challenge stigma to enable marginalized folks to access compassionate, judgment-free health care that meets their needs.

When people are welcomed into Under One Roof, we understand that no two journeys are alike. All participants are treated with Wrap Around Care, a customized, holistic approach to care that sees each person as unique. As well as essential services for food, health, and hygiene, our participants have access to so much more.

Many of the individuals we serve do not have a family physician. They have faced societal barriers, discrimination, and lack of access to vital support and services. Our team delivers trauma-informed care in a safe and comfortable setting for participants.

Open Door Health

Our Open Door Health Program offers critical primary care services. In the last year, this team referred over 3,200 cases so that participants could access medical care, financial and social support. Clinic services include chronic pain management, foot care, vaccine clinics, yoga classes, referrals to specialists, and more. Our team also assists participants with appointments, medication and follow-up with specialists.

These services take pressure off the emergency room at the Squamish General Hospital, lessen demand in our busy walk-in clinics, and lower barriers for people with past trauma about medical intervention.
